How To Delete Your POF Account Using A Web Browser

Before you delete your Plenty of Fish account, keep in mind that your POF profile, preferences, the photos you uploaded to the site, and all of your previous matches and conversations will be gone for good. Here is how you can delete your Plenty of Fish account using a web browser:

Step 1: Navigate to http://www.pof.com

Go to http://www.pof.com using a web browser you prefer.

Step 2: Click “Sign In”

Click the “Sign In” link in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Log in to your POF account

Enter your email or username and type in your password associated with your Plenty of Fish account. Next, click the “Log In” button.

Step 4: Go to the POF account deletion page

Once you are logged into your account, go directly to the POF account deletion page: https://ca.pof.com/deleteaccount.

Step 5: Answer the required questions and click “Delete Account”

At this point, you will see several questions about your account deletion. Answer them and then click the “Delete Account” button.

Step 6: Confirm you wish to delete the account

You’ve reached the final step and simply need to confirm your removal request. Click the “Delete Account” button to finish the process.Congrats! Your Plenty of Fish account will get deleted. Please note that any paid subscriptions you may have purchased will be deactivated too.

What Happens When You Delete Your POF Account?

Please note that sometimes your POF account may still be active after you’ve completed the steps above. In this case, you will need to contact Plenty of Fish directly by sending them an email with a request to delete your account. You can send your deletion requests to POF customer care service via csr@pof.com. Alternatively, you can fill out their contact form. Once your POF account is deleted, all of the data will be removed with no chance for restoration.

How To Delete & Cancel POF Subscription on Android

If your POF subscription is managed through the Google Play Store, you will need to follow the instructions below to cancel & delete the subscription.

Step 1: Open Google Play

First, open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone.

Step 2: Click “Account”

Navigate to the “Account” section under the Play Store menu.

Step 3: Select “Subscriptions”

Select the “Subscriptions” option.

Step 4: Select the POF app

At this point, you need to select the POF app to cancel the subscription.

Step 5: Click “Cancel” and “Yes”

Click “Cancel” and then click “Yes” to confirm the cancellation of the POF app. That’s it!

Please note that if you have a subscription through iTunes/the App Store, you must follow the below steps to cancel it. POF does not handle third-party subscriptions and cannot cancel them for you.

Step 1: Go to “Settings”, Open iTunes & Apple Store

Go to “Settings” and open iTunes & Apple Store on the setting of your iPhone or iPad.

Step 2: Tap the Apple ID

Tap the Apple ID on the top of your screen.

Step 3: Tap the “View Apple ID”

At this point, tap on the “View Apple ID”.

Step 4: Tap “Subscriptions”

Next, tap on “Subscriptions”.

Step 5: Choose Plenty of Fish

Choose the Plenty of Fish membership.

Click “POF Cancel subscription” to end your subscription. All done.

How To Temporarily Hide Your POF Account Using A Web Browser

In case you simply want to have a break from dating and consider getting back to Plenty of Fish in a while, hiding your POF account might be the best option for you.

Step 1: Go to Plenty of Fish website

Go to http://www.pof.com using a web browser.

Step 2: Log into your Plenty of Fish account

Log into your POF account before making any changes. Enter your email address or username and type in your password. Click “Log in”.

Step 3: Select “Edit Profile”

Once you are logged into your account, click the “Edit Profile” link in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Scroll down to the “Profile Visibility” section and click “Hide Profile”

What Happens When Your POF Account Is Hidden?

Hiding your Plenty of Fish profile means that your profile will no longer pop up in any suggestions, search results, or any bar of images. Also, you will not be matched with other Plenty of Fish users. However, POF users that have previously interacted with you, will still be able to see your profile. These includes:
